About the Founder
S. J. Bushue is a member of SCBWI and HWKT (Heartland Writers for Kids and Teens). Post-graduate studies in helping children learn through visual, auditory and multiple language formats have guided her passion for intriguing, playful picture books that are both entertaining and educational. Her focus is writing multilingual and special situation children’s books for pre-school and early-elementary-school aged children. Sherry believes that speaking and reading the easier language allows for more effortless transfer of literacy skills and concepts promoting overall language mastery development.
Sherry is published in children’s books, newspapers, poetry collections and was a columnist for a magazine with focus on large families. She loves the Midwest, her amazing husband, kids, grandchildren, and “fur-babies”. Sherry is often found walking in rain, barefooting, playing the djembe, digging in dirt, or frolicking on the floor with the grandkids and fur-babies.
